Sometimes finding the right musical partner takes a while. Nadine Douds and Matt Eddy had each been musicians on their own for years, living in different parts of the country and both hoping to eventually find the right person for a vocal duo. That part took some time. Then they found each other. Once Nadine and Matt started singing together, the fit was obvious. Their voices blended, their musical styles lined up and they discovered they could push into more adventurous harmonies without either one backing away from the idea. For both of them, that freedom matters. Being able to bring your full musical self into a duo and have the other person meet you there is a rare thing, and that connection is at the heart of Douds & Eddy. Their sound centers on acoustic guitar, thoughtful songwriting and layered vocal harmonies, with each bringing years of experience as individual musicians into the partnership. And now they’re taking the next step together. Douds & Eddy are currently working on their first album, which they expect to release by the end of 2026. The project is being recorded and produced through Incite Studio. For Porchfest, you’ll find Douds & Eddy at Grace Stone Mansion, where we’re planning something a little different for the evening. Along with the performance, there will be opportunities to get up and dance, and complimentary non-alcoholic beverages will be available free of charge. Unfortunately, while Grace Stone Mansion waits on the necessary permits, the interior of the mansion will not be open to the public during Porchfest. The music and festivities will take place outside on the property.
